BNP Paribas Asset Management presented a sustainability strategy to 2030
One of the largest European asset managers (AUM EUR 1.7 trillion) published a Global Sustainability Strategy for 2026–2030. What stands out:
- new ESG and Net Zero methodologies from 2027
- deeper analysis of climate risks, nature and a just transition
- stewardship expanded with AI and hazardous chemicals
- sustainability embedded directly into financial analysis, not as a marketing label
Main idea of the strategy: sustainability is not a separate investment theme, but part of financial analysis and long‑term risk management.
Regulatory obligation in the EU has indeed narrowed, but banks, funds and data recipients still want risk data – because they need it for their own portfolio management and for the SFDR.
For Czech companies this means only one thing. Questions from investors and banks on climate, nature, human rights or chemicals will be more detailed, not less frequent.
